Webinar – Teenagers, nightlife and the city

September 28, 2021 (4 p.m. – 7 p.m.)

The Interdepartmental Center for Research Ethics and Integrity of the CNR in collaboration with the Permanent Observatory on Teenagers and Alcohol (OPGA) and with the participation of the Minister for Juvenile Policies (Fabiana Dadone) organise the webinar on “Teenagers, nightlife and the city”.

Gatherings outside the venues, lack of respect for social distancing and use of face masks, as well as difficulties for businesses to deal with rules and procedures to limit contagion in an economic emergency, are among the main problems arising during the pandemic period. New urgent issues to be addressed are the revival of sociality and aggregation among young people after the long period of confinement; the effect of this and of partial reopening on the behaviour of younger people, with particular reference to the use and abuse of alcohol and possibly other substances; the role of city authorities and commercial organisations in relaunching life outside of homes and the revitalisation of tourism and hospitality industries in the context of the new security demands associated with the exit from the pandemic.

The webinar is organised in two sections: the first reports on the survey results, the second, in the form of a discussion/round table, on the relevance of the topic of youth, the city, nightlife and safety.
