The REGINA project (“Integrated Genomics Network for New Applications in Precision Medicine”) aims to set up an infrastructure of Genomics for Personalised Medicine with a network model distributed throughout the country that places the most advanced technologies and analytical systems in the field of genomic data acquisition and their application to precision medicine at the service of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service structures.
The operational architecture of the project is based on the already existing and fully operational CNR infrastructure for Genomics and Bioinformatics applied to Biomedicine, with an overall state-of-the-art equipment, endowed with autonomous resources for local management and distributed competence resources for the analysis of genomic data in order to characterise genomic alterations related to complex pathologies in the various fields of application.
