The FOSSR (Fostering Open Science in Social Science Research) project envisages the creation of an Italian Cloud dedicated to Open Science in the social sciences, which can provide the national scientific community with innovative tools and services to facilitate the analysis of economic and social changes in contemporary societies, including the analysis of issues concerning the ageing population, inequalities, migration, the implementation and evaluation of social policies and new methods of knowledge production.
The fundamental need is to strengthen and interlink existing research infrastructures dealing with data and methodologies specific to empirical social sciences by creating an integrated platform.
A user-friendly platform of tools and services with a one-stop access point, available to the community of social science researchers conducting empirical research.
