CNR at the Turin Book Fair

From 18 to 22 May 2023 (from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

The CNR Publishing Unit is participating in the 2023 edition of the Turin International Book Fair, which takes place from 18 to 22 May at Lingotto Fiere. The CNR is present at the OVAL Pavilion in stand V174 where the latest publications released by CNR Edizioni are available for purchase and consultation.

During the event, a presentation is scheduled of the new album ‘The HPC Issue’, from the popular science series Comics&Science (C&S) conceived and directed by Roberto Natalini, director of the ‘Mauro Picone’ Institute for the Applications of Computing, and Andrea Plazzi, translator and essayist.

There will also be ‘meet & greet‘ sessions and C&S signatures:

  • Thursday 18 May, Sergio Pocchioni who illustrated Ekham the Wise, written by Giovanni Eccher (The HPC Issue);
  • Friday 19 May, Silver – the creator of Lupo Alberto – who illustrated the story ‘Materia Oscura’ written by Francesco Artibani on fake news in science (Materia Oscura);
  • Monday 22 May, the legendary Silvia Ziche who illustrated Under ‘the Sign of the Bull’, written by Davide La Rosa and dedicated to the Iranian mathematician Mariam Mirzakhani (The Mirzakhani Issue).

The participation of the CNR is organised by the Publishing Unit in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Center for Research Ethics and Integrity (CID Ethics – CNR), the ‘Mauro Picone’ Institute for the Application of Computing (IAC-CNR) and the Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences (ISPC-CNR).
